Janamat Party cadres clash with police in Saptari, 5 injured

DHANUSHA: A clash broke out between the cadres of Janamat Party and police personnel in Rajbiraj of Saptari on Friday.

The cadres, who had gone to picket the District Election Office, clashed with security personnel this afternoon.

It has been learnt that five cadres of the Janamat Party were injured in the clash.

The party identified the injured as Sanjay Yadav, Rajesh Yadav, Sadhan Das, Kalpana Yadav and Prabhu Yadav.

They are receiving treatment at a local hospital.

The party has been staging demonstrations for the past few months demanding that the government address the demands of the farmers before the local level elections.
