US Ambassador Berry meets Home Minister Khand

KATHMANDU: US Ambassador to Nepal Randy W. Berry held a meeting with Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand on Wednesday.

During the meeting, Ambassador Berry thanked Nepal for endorsing the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), the Home Ministry said.

They also discussed the interpretative declarations passed by the Parliament regarding the MCC.

Ambassador Berry said that the interpretative declarations have included the issues they had been been talking about.

“We were aware of the interpretative declarations of the government and Parliament about the MCC. Interpretative declarations included the issues we had been talking about,” the Home Ministry said as Ambassador Berry saying.

Home Minister Khand said that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur had been standing in favour of MCC not only when he was in the government but also when he was in the opposition.
