8 killed, 5 injured as jeep carrying wedding attendants meets with accident in Pyuthan

RUPANDEHI: A jeep carrying wedding attendants meets with an accident at Okharpata in Gaumukhi Municipality-6 of Pyuthan in the wee hours of Saturday, killing eight persons and injuring five others.

Police identified the deceased as Basant Khadka, his wife Basanta Khadka and their daughter Alisha Khadka, Keshari Khadka, Nandi Khadka, Khim Khatri and Bale Buda Magar of Gaumukhi Municipality-6. The identity of one person is yet to be ascertained.

Two breathed their last in course of treatment at the Pyuthan Hospital, police said.
