Nepal records 5,583 fresh covid-19 cases, 9 deaths on Tuesday

KATHMANDU: Nepal has recorded a total of 5,583 new cases of Covid-19 along with 9 deaths on Tuesday.

As many as 17,674 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours of which 10,776 were PCR tests while 6,898 were antigen tests, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

Likewise, 8,267 infected people have been recovered from the coronavirus in the past 24 hours.

At present, there are currently 74, 653 active cases of Covid-19 in the country.

Meanwhile, 1,907 Covid-19 cases have been reported in the Kathmandu valley. Of them, 1,404 are reported in Kathmandu, 308 in Lalitpur and 195 in Bhaktapur.
