Nepal records 5,292 fresh covid-19 cases, 8 deaths on Monday

KATHMANDU: Nepal has recorded as many as 5,292 new cases of Covid-19 along with 8 deaths on Monday.

According to the Minister of Health and Population (MoHP), a total of 16,088 tests were conducted in the past 24 hours. Of them, 10,368 were tested through the RT-PCR method while 5,720 were antigen tests.

Among 16,088 tests, 5,292 were tested positive for coronavirus.

As many as 8,191 infected people have recovered from the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry.

At present, there are currently 79, 272 active cases in the country.
