Nepal records 8,017 fresh Covid-19 cases, 15 deaths on Thursday

KATHMANDU: Nepal has recorded as many as 8,017 new cases of Covid-19 and 15 deaths on Thursday.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 15,763 swab samples were tested in the RT-PCR method. Of them, 5,616 were tested positive for Covid-19

Likewise, 6,072 people underwent antigen tests, of which 2,201 tested positive.

Similarly, 5,292 infected people got recovered from the virus, taking the total recoveries to 837,004 so far.

The Ministry said that 554,566 people received anti-Covid-19 vaccines in the last 24 hours.

At present, the country has 90,576 active cases of coronavirus infection.
