CDO offices of Valley plan to cut services, 20 staffers of Kathmandu DAO test positive for Covid-19
KATHMANDU: At a time when the Kathmandu Valley has been seeing a steady rise in the number of Covid-19 cases lately, all the three CDO offices of the valley are planning to cut the services.
Regular works have been affected after some of the staffers of the Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur District Administration Officers tested positive.
Chief District Officers of the three districts are positive towards closing all the services except for emergency ones to prevent the virus from spreading.
According to the Assistant Chief District Officer, who is also the Information Officer of the District Administration Office,Kathmandu, as many as 20 staffers working at the office have been tested positive for novel coronavirus.
The Officer said that the two assistant chief district officers have just returned to the office after recovering from the disease.
Chief District Officer Govinda Rijal has been staying in home isolation for the past one week.
Acting Chief District Officer of Kathmandu Suprabha Khanal is in favour of closing all the services other than emergency ones.
Meanwhile, three staffers of the District Administration Office, Bhaktapur have been tested positive for Covid-19.
Similarly, one person has been tested positive in the District Administration Office, Lalitpur.
