Government starts administering booster shots in Kathmandu from today

KATHMANDU: The government has started providing Covid-19 booster shots to the people in Kathmandu from today.

Though the government had decided to administer the booster doses from Sunday, it was postponed for today citing a lack of preparations. The booster shots will be administered from 17 vaccination centres.

The government has decided to administer booster shots to frontline workers for now and the people above 60 years of age from January 28.

The Ministry of Health and Population said that the people will be administered the booster dose of the same vaccine they received six months ago. People will have to mandatorily take the vaccination cards.
