5 arrested for murdering rickshaw puller in Birgunj

BIRGUNJ: Police have arrested five persons on the charge of murdering an Indian national.

Police identified the detainees as Sunil Kumar, Nikesh Patel, Sapan Mandal, Najir Hussein and Babar Hussein of Bihar State from India.

Mukhtar Miya (40), a rickshaw puller by profession, was found dead near the Narayani Vayodha Hospital in Birgunj on January 6.

Police said that Miya was murdered by attacking with iron rods following a dispute.

It has been learnt that Miya and the murder accused had been staying in the same rented house in Birgunj.

Another Indian national is on the run following the incident, police said. RSS
