Milk price hike in the offing

KATHMANDU: The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) is preparing to hike the price of milk by Rs 10 per litre.

The price of milk which is Rs 76 per litre at present will cost Rs 86 after the revision.

The NDDB has recommended the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development to increase the price of milk by Rs 10 per litre.

Earlier, the price of milk was jacked up by Rs 6 per litre in 2016.

NDDB spokesperson Balak Chaudhary said that the new price will come into effect by holding a discussion with the ministry.
