NEPSE surges by 19.43 points on Monday

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) gained 19.43 points to close at 2,784.95 points on Monday.

Similarly, The sensitive index that measures the performance of blue chips companies increased by 3.16 points to close at 522.53 points.

Meanwhile, a total of 14,288,130 unit shares of 236 companies were traded for Rs 7. 12 billion.

In today’s market, all sub-indices saw green except for Banking, Hotels and Tourism and Manu & Pro. Banking sector declined by 15.28 points while Hotels and Tourism and Manu & Pro dropped by 37. 71 and 47.78 points respectively.

Meanwhile, Madhya Bhotekoshi Jalavidyut Company Limited was the top gainer today, with its price surging by 10.00 percent. Prabhu Select Fund was the top loser as its price fell by 3.17 percent

At the end of the day, total market capitalisation stood at Rs 3.93 trillion.
