Government decides not to grant public holiday on Prithvi Jayanti


KATHMANDU: The government has decided not to grant public holiday on Prithvi Jayanti.
A source at the Home Ministry said that the government has decided not to grant public holiday tomorrow.
A Cabinet meeting, scheduled for today, has been postponed after Prime Minister Sher Bahadur self-isolated himself for a week after CPN ( Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal tested positive for Covid-19.
Because of which there was no discussion regarding the holiday.
Rastriya Prajantra Party among others have been demanding the government to grant public holiday on Prithvi Jayanti.
Home Ministry spokesperson Pradeep Koirala said that he has not received any information about the holiday tomorrow.
