Education Ministry decides to shut down all schools until Jan 29

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has decided to shut down all the schools from tomorrow until January 29.

A secretary level meeting of the ministry held on Monday decided to close all the schools at the recommendation of the Covid-19 Crisis Management Centre (CCMC).

Earlier on Sunday, the CCMC had urged the government to shut down all the schools until January 19 to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Similarly, the ministry has urged the concerned authority to vaccinate students aged between 12 and 17 years.

Likewise, the educational institutions which have already made public the examinations schedule have been urged to conduct the examinations by maintaining the social distance.
