Ruling coalition decides to form mechanism in all seven provinces for NA elections

KATHMANDU: The ruling coalition has decided to form a five-member mechanism in all the seven provinces for the National Assembly elections.

A Coordination Committee meeting of the coalition held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Thursday morning decided to form the mechanism.

“The coalition has decided to form a five-member mechanism in all the seven provinces to help win the candidates of the ruling coalition for the National Assembly elections,” Committee member and government spokesperson Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said.

He said that the provincial mechanism will carry out the campaign and deploy cadres for the National Assembly elections to be held for 19 seats on January 26.

Coordination Committee Coordinator Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel had proposed to form the mechanism in all the seven provinces.

The meeting also wished success to the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to India.
