Lalita Niwas land grab case: CIB submits report to Government Attorney’s Office
KATHMANDU: The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police submitted the investigation report of the Lalita Niwas land grab case to the Kathmandu District Government Attorney’s Office on Thursday.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Kathmandu District Court ordered the Central Investigation Bureau to arrest over 300 individuals for their involvement in forging documents to grab the land of Lalita Niwas.
Ganga Prasad Paudel, joint attorney of the Kathmandu District Government Attorney’s Office, said that the report is in the office.
He said that the Government Attorney’s Office will choose a government lawyer to study the report and the necessary process will be taken ahead.
“Police have just submitted an application to the office. We will fix the lawyer to study the report after registering the application. Then the government lawyers have to study the report,” Paudel said, adding, “The decision to file the case or not will be decided after the lawyers go through the report.”
Although the CIB has made more than 300 defendants in the case, the number could be changed after the government attorney’s office conducts the study.
