BIMSTEC Secretary General Lekphell meets PM Deuba

KATHMANDU: Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) Secretary General Tenzin Lekphell held a meeting with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Wednesday.

During the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar, the duo discussed the role Nepal should play in the next Colombo conference.

Secretary General Lekphell is scheduled to meet President Bidya Devi Bhandari today itself.

Earlier on Tuesday, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Secretary General Lekphell held a meeting in Kathmandu.

During the meeting, Lekphell praised the role played by Nepal as a member of the BIMSTEC.
