US congratulates Dahal on his re-election to top post of CPN (MC)

KATHMANDU: The United States of America has congratulated Pushpa Kamal Dahal on his re-election to the top post of the CPN (Maoist Centre).

The Kathmandu-based US embassy congratulated Dahal, a day after he was reelected as the chairman of the party, through Twitter.

The first meeting of the Central Committee of the CPN-Maoist Centre held on Monday unanimously elected Dahal as the chairman of the party for the next five years.

In the congratulatory message, the United States said that it is committed to democracy around the world and the democratic process of Nepal.

Congratulations to Pushpa Kamal Dahal @cmprachanda for his re-election as the Chairman of the CPN (MC). The U.S. remains committed to democracy around the world and the democratic processes of Nepal.
