2 killed, 4 injured in Saptari motorcycle collision

RAJBIRAJ: Two persons died and four others sustained injuries after two motorcycles collided head-on at Tulasi Tole of Saptakoshi Municipality-4 in Saptari district on Sunday. 

The deceased have been identified as Subas Basnet of Kanchanrup Municipality-7 in Saptari district and Hari Shankar Chaudhary of Chaudandigadhi Municipality-9 in Udayapur district. Both of them were the riders of the ill-fated motorcycles. 

Critically injured Basnet and Chaudhary were taken to Golden Hospital in Biratnagar but breathed their last during the course of treatment, said the district police office.

Similarly, Mamata Sapkota, spouse of deceased Basnet and their eight-year-old son and one-year-old daughter, as well as Rohit Chaudhary, a pillion rider on another motorcycle, were injured during the incident. 

All of the injured are receiving treatment at a local medical facility, police said.

Police are further investigating the case. RSS
