UML not to take part in all-party meeting called by PM Deuba
KATHMANDU: The main opposition CPN-UML has decided not to take part in an all-party meeting called by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to discuss contemporary political issues and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) that Nepal has signed with the United States.
UML Vice-Chairman Subash Nembang said that they will not take part in the meeting to be attended by CPN (Unified Socialist) registered in an illegal way by the leaders taken action by the UML.
“We are ready to hold talks with the Prime Minister. Our chairman addressed the general convention of the Nepali Congress. But, we will not participate in the meeting where CPN (Unified Socialist) has been invited.”
The UML had boycotted the all-party meeting earlier also after the Prime Minister invited the CPN (Unified Socialist) to take part in the meeting.
