Jhapa man arrested for selling fake PCR reports

JHAPA: Police on Tuesday arrested an operator of the Ringji Tours and Travels based in Mechinagar Municipality-6, Jhapa on the charge of selling bogus PCR reports.

Police identified the detainee as Pema Tamang.

Acting on a tip-off that the Rengji Tours and Travels had been selling fake PCR reports to the individuals in the area, a team deployed from the Area Police Office, Kakadbhitta raided the office and nabbed Tamang.

Police said that they have recovered two laptops and a printer from the office of tours and travels.

He has been sent to the District Police Office, Jhapa for further investigation.
