NEPSE drops 79.57 points on Monday
KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the sole secondary market of the country, plunged 79.57 points on Monday to close at 2,281.67 points.
Meanwhile, a total of 9,679,072 unit shares of 233 companies were traded for Rs 3.99 billion.
Likewise, the sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class stocks, went down 12.47 points to reach 437.59 points.
In today’s market all sub-indices saw red with non-life insurance leading the way with a decline of 545.98 points followed by life insurance with 425.33 points.
At the end of the day, market capitalisation stood at Rs 3.21 trillion.
Meanwhile, Gurkha Finance was the top gainer today, with its share price surging by 9.47 percent. Swabhimaan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited was the top loser as its share price fell by 9.99 percent.
