UML 10th general convention: I will accept election results: Rawal

BHARATPUR: CPN-UML leader Bhim Rawal, who has filed candidacy for the post of party chairman in the ongoing 10th National Congress of the party, has said that he will accept the election results.

Rawal said so after casting vote in the election early this morning.

“I will accept the election results, but I don’t like to become merely a central member,” he said, hinting that he would not stay in the Central Committee if he lost the election.

Rawal and KP Sharma Oli are fighting for the post of party chair. Rawal was mentioned in the name list of 301 central members made public last night, which was put forth for consensus.

Rawal further made it clear that he had not filed candidacy for the post of central member. He asserted that he only filled the form for the post of party chair.

Leader Rawal expressed his commitment that he would work continuously for people, country and democracy. The voting for the party chair had begun at 4:00 am on Tuesday. RSS
