Man beaten to death in Morang

MORANG: A man was beaten to death at Katahari Rural Municipality in Morang on Sunday.

The victim has been identified as Rajendra Urau (40) of Katahari rural municipality-5, Morang.

According to a preliminary investigation, Rajendra, who was under the influence of alcohol, had a heated dispute with his mother and sister over a domestic dispute. Later, anguished Rajendra’s mother and sister hit him with a wooden plank.  

Rajendra, who was critically injured in the incident, was rushed to the Nobel hospital in Biratnagar but died during the course of treatment at around 11 pm.

Police said that they have arrested Rajendra’s mother Batiyo Urau (55) and Rita Urau (30) for investigation.
