1 killed in Bardiya tiger attack

BARDIYA: A person was killed when a tiger attacked him in Bardiya on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Kaluram Tharu(62) of Geruwa Rural Municipality,Rajipur.

A Royal Bengal Tiger attacked Tharu when he was herding cattle in the forest in the buffer zone near his house last night, Chief of Bardiya Police, Superintendent Ishwor Karki said.

Fifteen people have lost their life to tiger attacks so far in the district since the last fiscal year, Bardiya National Park Office said. RSS
