Four detained with rare golden tortoise

KATHMANDU: Police on Saturday arrested four people with a rare golden tortoise from Solatee Dobato of Kathmandu metropolis-13.

The arrestees have been identified as Sanjay Tamang, Prakash Khati, Raj Kumar Tamang, and Hari Pariyar. They, from different parts of the country, were currently residing in Kathmandu.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police arrested the group last night and confiscated Rs 36,655 in cash from them, informed Metropolis Police Range, Kathmandu.

Following the preliminary interrogation, they have been sent to the Division Forest Office, Hattisar for further action. RSS
