Chairman Oli given authority to select office bearers and central members in UML

KATHMANDU: In an effort to elect new leadership in the CPN-UML unanimously, Chairman KP Sharma Oli has been given the authority to select office bearers and central members.

Party leader Bishnu Paudel had floated a proposal in the closed session of the UML general convention.

All the leaders who were present in the closed session supported the proposal.

The UML has been making efforts to elect new leadership unanimously in the ongoing general convention.

The Central Committee meeting of the party held on Friday night had decided to increase the number of office bearers and members of its Central Committee in a bid to select new leadership in consensus.
