1 killed, 7 injured as Tata Sumo hits pedestrian in Rasuwa

RASUWA: A child died and seven others were injured when a Tata Sumo hit a pedestrian in Rasuwa on Wednesday.

Police identified the deceased as four-year-old Naini Ghale of Thade, Gosainkunda-6.

The four-wheeler (Na 1 Ja 6176) heading towards Dhunche from Thade, Gosaikunda Rural Municipality-6 hit Ghale today.

Police saisd that Ghale’s aunt Urja Ghale (30) and brother Karan Ghale (8) were injured in the incident.

The vehicle fell some 50 metres down the road after it hit Ghale, police said.

Tata Sumo driver along with four others were injured in the accident.

Police said that driver Tsering Dorje Tamang of Amachodingo of Rasuwa, passengers Ramesh Lopcham, Yangsen Ghale and vehicle owner were also injured in the incident.

Urja Ghale, Karan Ghale, driver Tsering Dorje Tamang and vehicle owner have been taken to Nuwakot for treatment while passangers Ramesh Lopchan and Yangsen Ghale have been taken to Dhunche, DSP Devendra Pandey said.
