29 injured in Dang bus accident

DANG: At least 29 people were injured when a bus they were travelling in met with an accident at Narayanpur in Lamahi Municipality-3 of Dang on Sunday.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.

The incident occurred when the bus heading towards Kathmandu from Surkhet suffered a malfunction and met with an accident at around 2:45 am, according to the Ward Police Office, Lamahi.

The injured are undergoing treatment at Lamahi Hospital while seven others have been recommended to Kohalpur for further treatment, police said.

Police have taken the bus driver into custody for further investigation.
