US Assistant Secretary Lu meets PM Deuba to discuss Covid-19 pandemic, climate crisis
KATHMANDU: US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu paid a courtesy call to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba at the latter’s official residence in Baluwatar on Thursday.
During the meeting, the duo discussed matters related to bilateral relations and mutual interests between the two countries.
Foreign Affairs Secretary Bharat Raj Paudel from Nepal and US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Kelly Kidderling and American Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry were also present in the meeting.
Ambassador Berry said that the Lu told PM Deuba that the US is ready to help Nepal to fight against COVID-19 pandemic and climate crisis.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that he is scheduled to meet Defense Minister and Home Minister among others on Friday.
