11 CPN cadres held for enforcing bandh in Tanahun

DAMAULI: Eleven cadres of Netra Bikram Chand -led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) have been arrested for enforcing bandh in Damauli, Tanahun district on Tuesday.

District in-charge Purna Jit Pun said that Byas Municipal in-charge Om Pant, District Chair Himal Khadka and ANNISU (Revolutionary) Secretary Shiva Shadashankar among others were detained from Traffic Chowk this morning.

Pun also demanded immediate release of the arrested leaders.

The Chand-led Maoist Party called the bandh demanding that the government withdraw its decision to increase the price of petroleum products.
