Population census to be conducted in Kalapani, Limpiyadhura and Lipulekh also

KATHMANDU: The government has decided to conduct population census in Kalapani, Limpiyadhura and Lipulekh.

Organising a press conference on Wednesday, the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) said that the national census will also be conducted in Kalapani, Limpiyadhura and Lipulekh.

Nabin Lal Shrestha, Director General of CBS, said that the government is taking diplomatic initiatives with India to conduct population census in Kalapani, Limpiyadhura and Lipulekh.

The national census will start from Thursday.

With the increase in Covid-19 cases, the government had earlier decided to postpone the 12th National Population Census-2021 indefinitely.
