2 killed, 8 injured as bus hits Deusi-Bhailo group in Hetauda

MAKWANPUR : Two persons died and four others sustained injuries when a passenger bus hit a Deusi-Bhailo group near Newarpani of Herauda Sub-Metropolitan City-19 along the East-West Highway on Saturday.

The bus (03-001 Kha 0936)  hit the Deusi-Bhailo group last night.

According to DSP Jayashwor Rimal of the District Police Office(DPO), the deceased have been identified as Suraj Bista (20) and Prem Bahadur Singh Thakuri(34) of Newarpani, Hetauda-19.

He said that Sangam Nepali, Nisha Moktan, Tulasa Bista and Laxmi Gurung were injured in the incident.The injured are receiving treatment at Hetauda and Bharatpur hospitals.

The irate locals set the bus on fire following the incident.

The bus driver fled the scene after the incident. Police said that they are searching for the absconding bus driver.
