Over 100,000 Pfizer vaccines donated by US arrive in Nepal (With video)

KATHMANDU: As many as 100,620 Pfizer Covid-19 vaccines donated by the United States have arrived in Nepal on Monday.

The vaccines carrying aircraft of Qatar Airlines landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) this morning.

Nepal has already received more than 1.7 million Johnson & Johnson vaccines donated by the United States.

The United States had decided to donate 100, 620 Pfizer Covid-19 vaccines to Nepal on October 25.

The government has decided to vaccinate all children above 12 years of age with the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine from November 14.

Pfizer BioNTech, an American vaccine manufacturing company, has said that the booster shot of the Pfizer vaccine is over 95 percent effective against infection from COVID-19.
