SC orders immediate release of Rubi Khan

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has ordered the release  of women rights activist Rubi Khan, who was arrested on the charge of polygamy on Friday, at the earliest.

Advocate Mohana Ansari had filed a case against the arrest of Khan.

A single bench of Justice Anil Kumar Sinha on Thursday ordered the police administration to release Khan.

Khan, who came to Kathmandu on foot from Banke seeking justice to murder of two women, was arrested from Maitighar Mandela.
