Mugu bus accident: Province police forms probe committee

KARNALI: Karnali Province Police Office, Surkhet formed a probe committee to investigate the Mugu bus accident that occurred on Tuesday.

The office said that a three-member committee has been formed under the headship of DSP Birendra Bir Bishwokarma of the Province Traffic Police Office. The committee has to submit the report within 10 days.

Inspector Jeevan Lamichhane of the Province Police Office, Head Constable Hari Lamichhane of the Province Traffic Police Office are the members of the committee.

As many as 32 persons died and 13 others sustained injuries when a bus (Bhe 1 Kha 3167) they were traveling in met with an accident at Pinatapane Khola along the Jumla-Mugu road section on Tuesday.

The committee has to submit the report to DIG Ganesh Bahadur Aire within 10 days.
