People returning home to celebrate Dashain festival (With photos)

KATHMANDU: With Dashain in full swing, the number of people heading towards their home to celebrate Dashain, the biggest festival of the country, has increased.

The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division said that the number of people leaving the Kathmandu Valley has increased in comparison to the people entering the Valley.

Police said that more than 100,000 people left the Valley on Sunday.

According to SP Janak Bhattarai of the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division, the number of people leaving the Valley will increase gradually as the Dashain holiday will begin from tomorrow.
