Shree Airlines aircraft skids off runway in TIA, no injuries (With video)
KATHMANDU: A Shree Airlines aircraft skidded off the runway onto the surrounding grass at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in the Capital on Tuesday.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occured when the aircraft (9N-ANF) carrying 80 passengers was about to take off from the airport this morning. Authorities said that no one was injured in the incident.
The aircraft did not suffer substantial damage. Captain Maheshwori Dangol was piloting the aircraft.
Preparations are underway to send the passengers in another aircraft, a source said.
Earlier on September 27, a Buddha Airlines aircraft flying to Biratnagar made a force landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport after it witnessed a problem with one of the landing gears.
