Nepali migrant workers returning home for Dashain (With photos)
KATHMANDU: With less than a week away for Dashain, Nepali migrant workers working in India have started coming home to celebrate the biggest festival of Nepal.
Long queues of Nepali migrant workers returning home to celebrate the festival has become a common sight at the Karnali border point these days.
Kamal Bishwokarna along with three others of Panchapuri Municipality, Surkhet returned home via Jamunaha border point to celebrate the festival on Sunday.
Bishwokarma, who returned home after working three months in India, was happy to be in his hometown.
“We will celebrate the festival in a grand way this year as we could not celebrate the festival in a proper way last year due to Covid-19 pandemic,” Bishwokarma said.
He is planning to return to India after celebrating Tihar, the festival of lights.
Nanda Ram Bishwokarma of Aathbis Municipality-6, Dailekh has also returned home from Mumbai.
Thousands of Nepalis are returning home from India through Jamunaha border point to celebrate the festival every day.
