Committee formed to study border dispute with China submits report to Home Minister

KATHMANDU: A committee formed to study border dispute with China from Limi Lapcha to Hilsa of Humla submitted a report to Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand on Sunday.

|Committee co-ordinator Jaya Narayan Acharya, who is also a Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, submitted the report amid a programme today.

Receiving the report, Home Minister Khand said that he will take the initiative to implement the report prepared by conducting the field study.

“You have prepared a report by including factual information about the border from Limi Lipcha to Hilsa of Humla by conducting field study. This has paved the way to conduct field study of borders in other places of the country,” he said, adding, “The government will take the initiative to implement the issues pointed out in the report.”

Minister Khand also thanked the team for conducting the field study.

Deputy Director General at the Survey Department Susheel Dangol, SP Umesh Raj Joshi of Nepal Police, SP Pradeep Kumar Pal of Armed Police Force and Kishor Kumar Shrestha of National Investigation Department were in the committee.

The government formed the committee on September 1 to conduct the field study.
