MCC should not be endorsed in its current form: CPN (US)

KATHMANDU: The recently formed CPN (Unified Socialist) party said that the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) should not be endorsed in its current form.

A Central Committee meeting of the party held on Thursday made the decision to this effect.

Secretary Jagannath Khatiwada said that the MCC should not be passed in its current form as it is not in the interest of the country.

“MCC should be taken ahead only after forging national consensus,” he said, adding, “Else it should not be endorsed in its current form.”

Emerging from the meeting, Secretary Khatiwada said that now the party will give priority to joining the government.
