Government to administer second dose of Vero Cell vaccine from Monday

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has decided to administer the second dose of Vero Cell Covid-19 vaccine from Monday (September 20).

The District Health Office, Kathmandu, has decided to administer the second dose of Vero Cell vaccine from 145 vaccination centres.

The office has urged all and sundry to visit the vaccination centres near to them with their respective vaccination card from 10 am to 4 pm to receive the second dose of vaccine.

Badri Bahadur Khadka, chief of the Health Office said that Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32, Kirtipur-10, Chandragiri-15, Nagarjun-10, Tarkeshwor-11, Dakshinkali-9, Budhanilkantha-13 have been designated as the vaccination centres.

Similarly, nine vaccinationation centres have been designated each in Gokarneshwor, Shankarapur and Bageshwori Manohara Municipality.

Likewise, seven more vaccination centres have been designated in Kathmandu Metropolitan City. One can receive second dose of Vero Cell vaccine from Nepal Police Hospital at Maharajgunj, Armed Police Force (APF) at Balambu, Bir Hospital, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH), Civil Hospital, Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital at Thapathali and Nepal Army Hospital in Chhauni.

Earlier on  Thursday, Nepal had received 4.4 million doses of Vero Cell vaccines procured from China.
