MCC Vice President Sumar meets FinMin Sharma
KATHMANDU: A high-level team of the United States government’s Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) programme held a meeting with Finance Minister Janardan Sharma on Saturday.
During the meeting, the team led by MCC Vice President Fatima Z Sumar requested the minister to endorse the MCC compact from the parliament at the earliest.
In response, Minister Sharma said that the political parties are holding discussions on the MCC agreement reached in 2017.
Earlier, Sumar called on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (Maoist Centre ) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal , CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal leader Baburam Bhattarai, Upendra Yadav and Energy Minister Pampha Bhushal.
