200 houses at high risk of landslides in Doti

DOTI: As many as 200 households of Setigaun in Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality-8, Doti district are at high risk of landslides.

Chairman of Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality-8 Ram Bahadur Khadka said that the landslides triggered by incessant rainfall have left people panic stricken in the area.

Locals have expressed their displeasure to the authorities for their apathy to unveil the measures to control the landslides.

The entire village is awaiting relocation, said Tirmal Singh Kunjeda, a local resident. “It will cause a huge loss if the people are not relocated immediately,” he warned.

Furthermore, the landslides have swept away a drinking water supply and irrigation canals.
