Prohibitory orders extended in Kathmandu Valley till Sept 1, vehicles allowed to ply after 8 pm
KATHMANDU: The ongoing prohibitory orders in the Kathmandu Valley have been extended till September 1.
A meeting of the Chief District Officers of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur have decided to continue the prohibitory orders to control the surge of the Covid-19 cases.
The prohibitory orders in place will expire today. Chief District Officer of Kathmandu Kali Prasad Parajuli said that the prohibitory orders have been extended continuing the earlier modality.
Furthermore, the meeting also decided to lift its earlier decision to ban the private and public vehicles from plying the roads after 8 pm everyday. Now, the vehicles will be allowed to ply the roads abiding by the health safety protocol.
The CDOs have been imposing the lockdown in the Kathmandu Valley on the basis of the working procedure of smart lockdown issued by the Covid-19 Crisis Management Centre (CCMC).
