UML lawmakers stood up from their seats to express their discontent as soon as the meeting began at the Parliament. Later, Speaker Sapkota directed the Parliament Secretariat to remove the statement saying that the remarks were against the Parliamentary dignity and rules.
Then the Speaker gave time to UML Chief Whip Bishal Bhattarai to speak at the Parliament.
Speaking at the meeting, Bhattarai said that it was against the Parliamentary norms to make remarks on the health of UML Parliamentary Party leader and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at the Parliament meeting. He demanded that the statement be removed at the earliest.
