Provide door-to-door vaccination service to elderly, differently-abled, SC tells govt
KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court has directed the government to provide vaccines against Covid-19 to senior citizens, differently-abled, visually impaired people and people with chronic illness, who cannot go to the vaccination centres, at their homes.
In response to a writ petition filed by advocate Prabesh KC, a single bench of Justice Prakash Dhungana delivered the verdict on Friday afternoon.
The apex court directed concerned authority to provide door-to-door vaccination service to differently-abled, visually impaired people and people with chronic illness by collecting data from the ward offices.
The court issued the verdict to implement the fundamental rights articulated by the Constitution.
