Students appearing exams to get vaccines against Covid-19

KATHMANDU: Bowing to the pressure from joint student organisation, the government has decided to provide vaccines against the Covid-19 to the students appearing the exams on the basis of entrance cards.

Dr Jhalak Sharma Gautam, Chief of the National Immunisation Programme, said that the decision has been made to provide vaccines to the students on the basis of exam entrance cards.

Earlier on Tuesday, the joint student organisation had demanded that the government provide vaccines against the novel corona virus to the students at the earliest.

The government said that it will provide vaccines to the students after the next consignment of Covid-19 vaccines arrive in Nepal from China.

Students will get vaccines from Birendra Sainik of Kathmandu, Nepal Police Hospital, Panipokhari and Nepal APF Hospital, Balambu.
