Public holiday on demise of rural municipality vice-chairperson’s father-in-law

KATHMANDU: The Menchhayayem Rural Municipality, Tehrathum has granted a public holiday on the demise of municipality vice-chairperson’s father-in-law.

The Rural Municipality granted the public holiday on Friday on the death of Vice-Chairperson Geeta Timisena’s father-in-law Krishna Prasad Gautam. Gautam died at the age of 96 on Thursday.

Issuing a notice, Chief Administrative Officer of Rural Municipality Bishnu Prasad Pokharel said that all the offices except a health institution of the Rural Municipality will remain close today.

Rural Municipality Chariman Yadav Khapung said that they decided to grant the public after holding a discussion with the office bearers.
