Switzerland to let in vaccinated Nepali nationals for travel sans quarantin
KATHMANDU: With the increasing number of coronavirus cases and deaths in Nepal, the UK has kept Nepal in the red-zone list.
Issuing a new Covid Protocol list on Thursday, the UK has removed India from the list whereas Nepal is still in the list.
The UK said that the new rules will come into effect from August 8.
Most of the countries of Middle East, South Asia and East Asian countries are in the red-zone list.
According to the new rule, people who travel to the UK from Nepal have to stay in quarantine for 10 days and have to do a PCR test on the eighth day after arrival.
Meanwhile, Switzerland has decided to allow entry to Nepal nationals who have received both doses of vaccines against Covid-19 on legal visas.
The Switzerland’s Health Ministry said in a statement that vaccinated people from Nepal, Britain and India would be allowed to travel without staying in quarantine.
