Govt removes Dr Gautam as Chief of Bir Hospital

KATHMANDU: The government on Monday removed Dr Jageshwar Gautam from the post of Chief Administrative Officer of Covid-19 Unified Central Hospital (Bir Hospital).

The Ministry of Health this afternoon removed Gautam from the post by making a minister-level decision.

Gautam was dragged into controversy since the day when he was appointed as the Chief Administrative Officer of the Bir Hospital.

He has been transferred to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital in Thapathali.

Gautam was appointed as the Chief Administrative Officer of Bir Hospital on May 24.
